After a rather tumultuous week, my apologies for the brief interruption in blogs.
I hope everyone is well and, for those in the UK with school-age children, that the first Monday of homeschooling has gone well. We did really well in our household – everyone was sat down quietly working by 9 a.m. with not a single argument until nearly 9:05 a.m.!
Since my travel stories are always written retrospectively, not being able to travel is no excuse not to write, so I will restart this week. Hopefully, it will offer a reminder of how things used to be. (And will be again!)
Mind you, as May eloquently pointed out this weekend ... homeschooling, missing clubs and friends, managing on limited food, living with uncertainty, being flexible as to what’s coming next, whilst trying to avoid illness – well, that’s exactly what we did for 6 months of world backpacking last year. And, this time around, we have the added bonus of our own space, electricity, water and even showers. Can’t complain.
Enjoy reading!
